{Before & After}

Everyone likes befores and afters right?  Cuz – im gonna have a lot of them :)

This was a solid pine dresser in awesome shape that needed no repair work – just some paint and stain – gotta love it when that happens (because that is rare!!)

After…painted in Honeymilk by Valspar, top stained in black.  I love black stained tops – i like when just enough of the wood grain peaks through.

This one just got some light distressing with a 60 grit sand block around the edges and some new drawer pulls.

i love the contrast between the cream and the black – in fact i love the cream.  Makes me want to just buy a 5 gallon bucket of cream and paint everything that color :)

    I love it! I just finished painting the top of my dressers black only the bottoms are brown wood. Now you make me want to go buy some cream paint and finish them off like yours! I love what you did with them!

    I'd love it if you'd link this up (or any of your awesome transformations) to The AFTER Party @ 3 Meadow Lake Cottage! Hope to see you there :)

    I've been following your blog for a while, love your work wish I lived in Utah to enjoy some of your sweet pickings but I live in California. I'm just about to do a dresser just like this and was wondering what your cream color is called? Is that info something you share? Thanks

    I am doing something similar to all the dressers and nightstands in my bedroom. I am doing a red mahogany top, with a creamy bottom.

  25. Bergs April 22, 2011 at 7:25 pm #

    I just came across your blog and I LOVE it! Your before and afters and FAB! It made me wonder how you know how much to pay for each type of furniture? Like a certain price you'd pay for a end table vs a dresser etc?

    I love your work and creativity. Do you use Valspar paint only?
