Finally! I am here to post some pics of my craft room! This room has actually been done for a while now, but i just could never clean it out long enough to get some pics! For some reason, this room is the catch all for everything in our house that is waiting for a home – so it always seems to be piled up with junk. But – this is my most favorite room in the house. I love everything about it. I think its because its really just a hodge podge of junk, and i love it! {how to weather new wood}
> This is a little 411 on how to make some new wood look old – or in my case my old wood look old again. I sanded down my craft table with a palm sander to get all the potential slivers away and i was left with a table that had a “fresh wood” look – well, that was definitely not the look i was after. I loved how the table looked prior to sanding, and i wanted that same old gray weathered look back. I decided to sand it down and seal it because i want the top to get even more beat up – i didn’t want glass or anything on top. > Im lucky enough to have my own craft space (well, i actually have several of my own spaces in this house – my husband doesnt appreciate that very much…more on that later). Dear Santi (current husband), I have recently fallen for a new fella. He’s massive, rugged, huge, sturdy, he will support me in all my crafty endeavors – which you currently groan about. He doesnt mind a little spilled paint, glitter , fabric thrown about, papers and tools everywhere. He wont complain when i leave a giant mess on his huge top, he understands me – he knows that i am a messy girl. We just get each other… I could go on and on about my new love, i could tell you how much i love his big strong wood, but i wouldnt want to make you jealous (and i dont want to lose readers for being nasty!).
