Ever since i saw a pic of something similar about 2 years ago, i have wanted to make an embroidery hoop wall somewhere in my house. It was one of those pics that i gasped when i saw it – i loved the idea that much! If you follow me on Facebook, you will know that last week i finally started my little project :) (check out my growing collection of old watering cans, cant get enough of those!) I love the mismatched fabrics and the fun colors – plus its unique and you can bring in colors and fabrics that will match your home. And the fabrics can easily be changed out. I hope everyone is having a good long weekend :) ***************** Long ago…back before by blogging days, i made this flag out of reclaimed wood for my sons room – the wood was on its way to the dump – very sad. But, no fear! I rescued it and made this cute flag – it still even has the old bird poop on it (the wood was from a bird coop) – is that gross, should i even be telling people this? {Lamp re-vamp – (hey that rhymes!)}
Sorry i have been MIA this last week, kids are back to dance and soccer 4 nights a week + saturdays, and husband is still in iraq (coming home in May!) so i haven’t had a lot of extra time. I do have a couple of fun projects that i started this week though – a framed mirror tutorial coming soon :) I did manage to get this lamp done this week. I bought it @ the Salvation Army for $10 – for both the shade and base. The pink lamp shade was pretty cute but didn’t work for the room. Before… I took off all the pink fabric and covered it in white cotton… I made simple fabric flowers with the same white cotton and hot glued them on the lamp, here and there… I put it in my kids bathroom, the one that i just recently re-did [...]

{Yup, i painted a stick…}
So, i am sure everyone has seen the cute sticks with cute little eggs and cute little stuff hanging from them – very fun – very eastery. But, easter is uhhhh…4 days away, and i don’t want to drag out the eggs for just 4 days (nope, i havent decorated for easter yet, i know, not good, but i will (maybe)). Anyways, i found a dead tree on the side of the road, parked the car, got out and ripped off some branches. My son was totally cool with this until i told him “look how many people are looking at us” then he ran into the car and hid. I don’t think jumping on a dead tree on the side of the road to get the stupid branch to break is embarrassing, do you?! So, this is the stick…the doggy likes it I cut off some of the [...]
