WOW you have alot of reading to do now:) we recently had to accept the fact we can no longer continue to stay in our home. Our home that we have been in for 10 years and have completely remolded. The choice to walk away from it was heart breaking but after my husbands 3rd paycut with the city, we had no choice but to. So for financial reasons we sold most of our stuff because we had to down size. I am wanting and needing a whole new look. I want a fresh start for my family and I love your ideas. But I need lots of help with the painting thing…lol..I have been picking up old/used furniture and my family asks me why mom did you get that? 1. It was cheap or free 2. Just you wait and see what paint can do to an old piece of furniture and 3. You are going to love it!!!!! Plus this kind of stuff can bring us firefighter wives together and give us something to do!!!! It's an uplifting feeling to see what you can do with old furniture :) ckjabrjr@gmail.com Happy painting and love all the transformations you have done :)

I am a frequent visitor – I am very inspired by your work. To make a long story short and not to disclose too much – I'm able to come across some extra loved items that have seen better days that get passed along to those less fortunate. I have being wanting to refurbish these items before moving them along so that it can have a more …. unified look to them. It is something to receive someones cast off (which I'm sure they apprecieate) but I think it would be wonderful if they can atleast look abit more nicer. Mind you I'm more of a sewer/crocheter/garderner type of a crafter and to get into furnishings for others isn't my strong suit but hopefully with this book and a bit of practice I can make someones life a bit more pleasent.

Junkie, follower, paint-a-holic, and I owe it all to you. Stumbled upon your blog about four months ago, read the entire thing in one night (my poor family was completely neglected that night!) have since painted, hunted, and SOLD!! a few pieces of furniture. Thanks to you also, I am now an avid Nate groupie. But yet, I cannot figure out for the life of me how you mommy, wife, paint, business, AND blog. You must have more hours. This book would be a jem for me. Instead of my multiple errors, there would be more time for trials instead of fix-its!
Even if I don't get the book, thanks for the inspiration, humor and when I am in UT, if you find me at your workshop door with an autograph book and camera, well, then you can just sit back and enjoy the fame!

I stubbled upon your blog and fell in love! I have a new to do list now… painting all the old worn out furniture in my house, to a new second chance on life ( and to save a few hundred dollars). My husbands thinks I'm insane now, because I have a new inspiration to change everything we own and buy new treasures =) So this book you help in a huge way! Please consider me if you don't use a random way of picking the winner.

Okay, so I was laying in bed thinking about this book, when I had this great thought (at least I thought it was great!). I think you (and maybe Christa) should join forces and offer a Girls Weekend where ladies come for a Friday night/Saturday and the two of you teach workshops and show techniques and even allow the ladies to do their own project! I know I'd be the first to sign up!

But, since the Girls Weekend isn't happening, I'll need to start with the book! Help me help myself to get started in the meantime. You know how the saying goes: give a man a fish, and you've fed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you've fed him for a lifetime. Here's my version: Give a girl new furniture and she's happy for a week; teach her to fix her own furniture and she has projects for a life time!
